Terrible.
Reminds me of Bosnia, most of all.
This stuff will not be fixed by anyone who wins the election in the United States.
Neither of the candidates know nor care about this stuff.
Nor do the "people" who will vote...
We shouldnt expect anything less from the US.
It's taken me days to find the heart to watch this. But it was worth the heartbreak. A sad and beautiful piece.
Tonight I joined some volunteers who are teaching wounded vets to kayak in the ocean. One had nerve damage in the arms,and the exercise was deemed good. Another is a double amputee. He had one leg left for a while, but it was less useful than the above-knee prosthesis on the stump, so now he has two of those.
Relative to the tin can marked graves in the Guardian movie, he is lucky, because his war is not over yet. As the narrator says, no one is arguing that more than 90,000 Iraqis are safely in the grave.
