However, the US media and I don't mean just Fox is whipping this issue into a frenzy without facts and without an intelligent discussion. <br /><br />The US media, after its massive failure to challenge Bush Administration's case of WMD as a basis to launch Iraq war and that too without UN approval, has a huge responsibility to American public to investigate facts properly and not create war hysteria leading to another war.<br /><br />If Israel or the US make the mistake of attacking Iran (weather limited or full scale), its consequences will be disasterous possibly even incalculable. Iran's clergy with its suicidal tendencies will most certainly retalitate with everything it has got against Israel causing massive destruction of cities and also attack US ships in the gulf and sink enough ships to block the Straits of Hormuz. In that eventuality, oil prices will head towards $500 a barrel, detroying many economies of the world. So, both Israel and the US better think seriously of the consequences before such a misadventure. <br /><br />On the other hand, the retired Israeli Brig. General Uzi Eilam may be right, the right wing Israeli Government is probably keen to bolster its Defense budget by raising the threat of Iran's nuclear weapon. Dr. Cole
