(Sources) – Upon the start of the new year, sad news come from the region of Le Kef Tunisia where Mohamed Taher Laabidi, a professor and labor union militant, was assassinated. The news first appeared on the official page of UGTT, Tunisia’s largest labor union.
The UGTT statement pointed that “unknown individuals have broken into a residence in Seres El Kef and killed comrade Mohamed Taher Laabidi“. Mohamed Labidi, a professor and UGTT militant was murdered on the new year’s eve. The UGTT has denounced the hideous crime and called for a massive reunion in its headquarters in Tunis on Friday, Jan. 3rd.
