Actually, my quotes from Pirkei Avot are very representative of that entire work. You say it is not representative, but you have nothing to back up that claim.
Also, if you want a quote from Rabbinic literature specifically dealing with Gentiles (although you have cited no proof that Pirkei Avot does not deal with Gentiles -- it does not say to pursue peace with only Jews, rather it says to pursue peace), here is one (I can bring more if you like -- you won't find them in the polemical links you cited):
"Our Rabbis have taught: 'We support the poor of the heathen along with the poor of Israel, and visit the sick of the heathen along with the sick of Israel, and bury the poor of the heathen along with the dead of Israel, in the interests of peace'. "
I learned Pirkei Avot in an Orthodox institution and no rabbi there ever said it applies only to Jews.
Your ignorance of Jewish ethics is quite apparent.
Jewish ethics is not limited to the Hebrew Bible (and any mention of Jesus regarding Jewish ethics is laughable).
Professor Cole mentioned Rabbi Hillel, a person I suspect you never heard of.
If you want to know about Jewish ethics, the authoritative text in Jewish tradition would be the chapter Avot in the Mishnah -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pirkei_Avot
Some excerpts:
"The world stands on three things: On Torah, on prayer ("avoda"; can also mean sacrificial offerings), and on kindness to others" (1:2)
"Your house should be open wide, and you should make the poor members of your household." (1:5)
"What is hateful to you, do not do to your fellow"
"Be amongst the students of Aaron: Love peace and pursue peace."
When a commenter gets fired because of pressure from the right, it is in Juan Cole's words "privatized McCarthyism, a phenomenon increasingly corrosive of American civil liberties" (https://www.juancole.com/2010/07/maliki-olivia-nasr-both-praised-fadlallah.html), but when a commenter gets fired because of pressure from the left, it has nothing to do with censorship.
Your mother tongue is Russian because Yiddish was wiped out during the Holocaust. Before millions of Yiddish speakers were wiped out, Yiddish was the primary language for millions of Jews in Europe, not Russian or Polish, though they may have also been able to speak those languages.
"Instead, the Jews of the world were loosely united by their religious heritage, but they shared their languages, cultures and genes with their neighboring communities."
So Ukrainians, Poles, Romanians, and Russians also spoke Yiddish? I never knew that.
The people who did this do not represent the settlers. Most settlers are not very ideological. They live where they do because the houses are cheap, the neighborhoods are peaceful and friendly, and most of them have an easy commute to jobs in Jerusalem.
"Franklin’s allegation would imply that children are Muslim by birth and have to fast the month of Ramadan when they are 5. It is ridiculous."
No, it would not imply that. According to Jewish law, those born of a Jewish mother are Jewish, but they do not have to fast on Yom Kippur when they are five years old. They are not obligated to perform the rituals of Judaism until they reach puberty.
I agree with much of this article, but it should really be directed at Obama and not the generals. After all, the generals are just trying to complete the mission Obama gave them. Obama is the commander in chief and he is the one who decided to do COIN in Afghanistan.
So maybe the article should be titled: Advice to President Obama
In the Zaman article, Kürşat Atılgan also blames Israel for the recent PKK attacks without giving a shred of evidence. Perhaps he is the paranoid one.
For what it's worth, he also states the only way to deal with the PKK is militarily. Sounds like he would be a member of the Likud if he lived in Israel.
If we can't condemn the Armenian holocaust because we need Turkish bases to supply our troops in Iraq, then that is just one more reason why we should get out of Iraq.
A scale of distance would be useful.
FYI, the quote I cited is from Gittin 61A.
This is a reply to "A disillusioned Israel":

Nice double standard.

It’s Neither/Nor, Not Either/Or
