The real problem is the large segment of the population that believe the myth of 'trickle down economics' and continue to vote republican.
If 'trickle down economics' had any basis in fact we would all have been wealthy centuries ago. The historical facts point to the opposite effect, that of concentration of power and wealth in the hands of the few. Call them the 1%.
I'm trying to think of a place and time when humans behaved rationally.
