The time has come, along with overwhelming evidence, to stop giving equal time to climate change denialists as if their fundamental inability to grasp reality warrants equal weight in an intelligent or informed debate, let alone a modicum of respect.
When only industries that are demonstrably the most culpable, are doing the most damage, and are the ones who are spending multimillions to manufacture and peddle misinformation and even more to thwart alternatives, why are we going along with the pseudo-narrative that this is a lefty, anti-free market obsession.
The denialists, like Holocaust deniers, and any other lunatics who rage against quantifiable and qualifiable science, reams of evidence and have nothing but obstructionism and obfuscation to bring to the table don't only deserve no place at the table, but should held accountable too. Neither greed nor ignorance are acceptable justifications for retarding progress.
Placating them, whether they are oil company executives, politicians or lobbyists, has already cost us irreparable damage, and it's time to act, even if it means kicking them out of the way.
