Until the US confronts this ugly truth we will continue to sink into a morass of confusion. We have committed these war crimes but we clearly don't understand this. The current story seems to go like this. Everyone thought Saddam had WMDs. We could have salvaged the war with a better post invasion performance. Finally POTUS gave us the surge, success. If Obama had been any good everything would be OK. Hard for the story to be worse. We are blithely unaware that the refugee crisis is one result of our crimes. If the national conversation continues to avoid the truth the US has seen it's better days.
A little off topic, but it would be just like history to play a trick on the popular vote when the electoral college is scrapped. The joke would be a vote so close that the entire nation would have a recount. Perhaps with nonpartisan redistricting we could have 1 vote per district and 2 votes per state. Dividing the country into about 500 units would come closer to the popular vote then the electoral college.
Trump & Haley, the Bonnie & Clyde of International Diplomacy. Excellent, Professor Cole.

I think Trump will accept the challenge laid down by Mr. James. This could make compelling theater, if trump escalates. It could be a defining moment.

Buttle. have to agree with your interpretation of style. I think it comes from immersion in the conversation.
