It always makes me laugh reading the names of the countries who vote with US and Israel: Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Palau, Togo. What is US going to do with all are submerged in twenty years?!!
Is he the one who bought a large piece land in Tanzania few years ago and the government was to throughout tens of thousands of people who lived on that land so the "prince" could use it as his exclusive hunting ground?
So rigging the elections is part of party politics. Money (corporate money) is what matters. Damn the people. No wonder Democrats lost 900+ state legislative seats since 2010 and the "who" lost to a buffoon.
Missing from the review of Mr. Rafasanjani's political life are three points: 1- As the head of the regime's national security council, Mr. Rafansanjani was the force behind launching of human wave offensives again Iraqi forces that killed many thousands including children. 2- As president, he presided over domestic repression and a campaign of assassination that targeted the regime's opponents outside of Iran. 3- Mr. Rafsanjani died a billioner having used his connections to enrich himself and his sons. Obviously, "moderate" is a relative term!
This is such a simple minded idea. What Muslims need is organizing. Learning from American Jewish community who was the the target of similar if not worse bigotry.
In the meantime, according to the Society of Civil Engineers, we could have spent, instead, 2-3 Trillion to upgrade the country's infrastructure from grades of F and D to C. Think about all the good paying construction jobs that could provide. But, nooooooooo. That would be too much government.
None of this scenario is supported by Either Israel's own leaders (for example Rubin's 1969 interview with Le figaro, Begin speech in 1982, or Dayan's interview published in NYT in 1997). Israel's own historians have debunked all the Zionist myths you have repeated twenty five years ago.
JStreet supports Israeli politicians such as Tzipi Livni. It's leadership is in favor of annexation of major settlement blocks. It favors American mediation and is opposed to lifting of Gaza blockade. It views the solidarity student movement in the US as enemy of Israel. To choose JStreet as a venue, therefore, is not an indication of any shift in American policy. It is only a repackaging of the charade called Oslo or the Peace Process.
Professor Cole,
Do you know of any Gaza-based news/media sites with models similar to Syria Direct?
Thank you.

Pence and "mother" have always made a point of being the stunks of every occasion.
Too late!
I fear without leadership and organization and with an unscrupulous regime in charge, only people will die and little will change.

From Mohammad Reza SHAH to SHAH Ali.
I say this as someone who wants a secular, liberal democracy for Iran: Trump IS an effing moron and so are a good chunk of DC elite.
I wonder what CBS CEO thinks these days. Still bad for America but good for CBS?
Reminds you of Austria's ultimatum to Serbia!
It's not just in Iran. Bone headed is the very definition of US policy in the Third World.
I don't like Schumer. But this is funny.
I am disappointed but not surprised given the realities of US politics.
Anything that reveals what a dumb ass he is.
Similar to Nixon , Trump will throw everybody under the bus.
Unlike Nixon, he will have to be physical removed from the White House.
Or he is moving from one stupid claim to another to deflect attention from his cruel policies and the incompetency of his government.
I want to know where in Iran is this.
Already, however, Democrats have fallen in line, voting with Republicans to approve Trump's CIA chief.
Von Clownstick talks oil.

Could you explain how the article is inaccurate and racist?
No it isn't.
Would he have left it for Hillary?
I thought this clown did not trust intelligence reports!
Your basis for this far reaching estimate?
The fact that this companies had advertised on this rag in the first place says so much.
Not if he is planning to remain a reliable member of DC community.
Remember, the worst thing that can now happen to this SOB is to lose reelection.

This is what you get when your candidate declares his support for Clinton ahead of any deal making. Frack this party system.
Professor Cole,
Is there a chance for us to post IC's articles to Facebook or Google+ again?

It is time for a Nuremberg like trial of those who will be responsible for destroying life on earth. The charge: Crimes against humanity.
I wonder if the Israeli foreign ministry officials had instructions from PM Netanyahu to first stare at the Swedish envoy in silence for 45 seconds..?
Excellent choice.
How exactly?
... And the West Bank in 6 years!
I may have had the pleasure of having some of them as students!
Exactly!
Two thumbs up, way up!
The first video says so much about world politics.

AIPAC will instruct Congress to pass the same law again.

In my very humble opinion, national plebiscite require security and security is under the control of [Shah] Ali Khamenei.
Well said.
As Hanan Ashrawi said years ago: "They use our children for target practice."
