Well said...what's so sad is how much of a waste of time and money the whole exercise in futility is...they seem to be unable to stop the latest attacks on our embassy's and military installations...one wonders what possible use all this nothing information on everybody has.a prime example of the military industrial complex gone wild...are there any brave politicians out there ?...anybody?
Well said...the results of our madness speak for themselves...now that's settled, how about some solutions to the foreign problems facing our fine country as they are at this moment in time?
Well said,mr farhang,....agree on most points,..however there is no way Assad would agree to a truce allowing for a honest election,in which he would relinquish power ,nor will Assad remove anything,he will just duck and weave, stall for time..however he is not going to use chemicals...he won't embarrass Putin...another thing,Israel will never abandon nuclear weapons,...would you?..not while being outnumbered 100 million to 5 million...with America and England showing an isolationist bend..eruope showing its old anti Semitic horns..Israel can only depend on itself...as so..she needs every possible edge she can muster......
In all of the worlds hot spots, there are zero governments with clean hands...it is all action and reaction...every nation looks to gain an edge on each other...however it sees to me that America at least since the 1930s ,with some obvious exceptions, has really tried to do the right thing, although failing in a few places...she deserves more credit then shown by the followers of prof. Coles most pertinent and educational blog
What a mess.....likely now that Putin has stuck his neck out for Assad, there will be no more chemical attacks,...the rebels have their hands full fighting asads forces, they won't attack Israel, makes no sense, they need America's help...Israel is helping them with the badly wounded...now the war will take on a even more deadly course,.the Sunni states will push men and weapons into the fray..the shites in Iran and hezbaoallah will meet force with more force, and the people will suffer..maybe,hopefully..Putin and Obama can put together some sort of truce, which will be needed to take hold of the chemicals...and that truce can lead to some sort of a peace arrangement saving Assad and his people, yet allowing for a new gov.
One can only hope....it might only be a ploy,..but maybe cooler heads will prevail...sure as heck ,beats any war...we shall see

America has no history with Syria...but a really good history lesson....
