A one-state solution creates one of two results. First, if all occupants of this one state are given equal rights, it will soon become a majority Arab state. Secondly, if all of the occupants are not given equal rights, it will create an apartheid state. A two-state solution where the Palestinian state contains pockets of non-contiguous areas is not viable for either the Palestinians or the Israelis. A two-state solution with Palestinian areas that are contiguous is the other option.
Those are the only options that I can come up with without ethnic cleansing.
