When you say that the majority of environmental economists are proponents of cap and trade vs. a carbon tax, do you have any basis for that assertion? And could you give me, a non-economist, a notion of how big a discipline environmental economics is compared to economics in general, and what is your estimation of the majority opinion of economists in general regarding the two proposals' relative merits?
