I am old enough to remember Nobel Prize winner Milton Friedman arguing in his documentary series on TV and in his popular books that benefits came out of the workers pay. If they did not get the benefits the employer would pay the worker more. I guess that he was wrong after all he only won a Nobel. He did not made a billion dollars developing real estate. Now it is a gift that management gives the worker and the worker should shut up and be thankful that the deal doesn't change any further.
