Great dialogue here! So many intertwined facets. Wondering what will happen in ME when the climate crisis tightens it's hold. Desert climates are already very hot and not productive if you discount oil.
“Which branch of American government is most corrupt? Executive, Legislative, or Judicial? Think about it, which branch of American government is most corrupt?”
I am thinking about it and I conclude the Legislative. Next is the Executive. SCOTUS is not far behind either of the two but is the most powerful in certain instances. It is a close race.
Oh, yee defender of banks. Do not thee know that they control the government? Was not Alan Greenspan the head banker? As far as the Pentagon, I would march against it if I was able. In fact I did 30 years ago, in a sense. It was called the Nuclear Freeze Movement.
"...that stance lack(s) a moral position and ignores the long-term health of our economy."
So true. And the latter looks worse with the European contagion bound to spread. The former "lack" stance is pretty much par for the course for many years but has reached a crescendo during the latest crisis. It's Protect the Banks!
"When al-Qaeda accuses you of being a conspiracy theorist, you’re really a space cadet."

Thank you for writing about this and tying it all together. I remember Iran-Contra. Never could get over how North became a celebrity over it.
