Unfortunately, in this case the addict is heavily armed, extremely dangerous and on the loose. The fact that the addict's supporters have heretofore condoned and in many cases encouraged the bad behavior over the last 6+ decades adds another terrifying dimension to the situation. I don't hold out much hope that the dealer is really going to cut off the addict "for is own good", despite what the Caver-In-Chief in DC says.
