Some of the dead soldiers may be Canadians.
What is your source for this? The linked article explicitly says:
CTV's Sarah Galashan, reporting from the Canadian base in Kandahar, was told by military officials Saturday that no Canadians were on board. ... No Canadian soldiers are based in the area, located about 240 kilometres east of Kabul on the border with Pakistan.
CBC's report on the helicopter crash has no mention of possible Canadian deaths. Anything is possible, but on what are you basing your speculation?
I think the feed changed after I wrote my sentence. I took it down now.
