Crisis in Pakistan:
Articles of Impeachment against Musharraf

President Pervez Musharraf of Pakistan has decided to fight the articles of impeachment introduced against him in the parliament by the ruling coalition of the Pakistan People's Party and the Muslim League. Thus the stage is set for a major political crisis in the second most populous Muslim country in the world, the sixth largest country in the world, and the only Muslim nuclear power. Musharraf came to power in a military coup in 1999, and there are fears that the military could intervene again.

Yes, Pakistan is a nuclear power, and a destabilized Pakistan would be a source for exporting weapons technology, but fortunately our CIA with talent such as Valerie Flame, I meant Plame, are on top of the situation, and our FBI nurtures language experts, such as Sibel Edmunds, who is capable of understanding the messages her bosses intercept.

Anyone who would sabotage the efforts of these people (Plame and Edmunds) should be in jail. BTW, when does "Scooter" come up for parole?

I get the feeling that Mushareef isn't going to go peacefully.
Right now he's probably busy ringing all the Generals, to find who's with who.
Basicly, if the Army supports him, he's not going easily.

The man came to power in a military coup. Anyone who thinks he's just going to gently into that night is naive at best.

Ronaldo's analysis is absolutely correct.

Well, at least the Pakistani Parliament has more couage than our Congressional lapdogs. Given the current state of the Propaganda System, I doubt if we'll see or hear anyone trying to connect the dots.

Well the thing is that sharif came to power riding the wave of the judicial movement and he has forgotten about that in his vengeance for musharraf that makes you realize where the priorities lie. Secondly he speaks about strengthening the economy whereby all his assets are abroad and as for zardari, need i say more. the thing with mush is that no one has come up with any corruption allegations against him despite his lame duck status and as ever has been sincere to Pakistan whether to its detriment is for you to decide but would you want impeach an 'illegal' but honest and patriotic leader or ones whose concerns are purely personal but are 'legally elected'
