Saudi Arabia mediates between Karzai Gov't, Taliban

Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah recently hosted talks in Mecca, between Taliban and the Karzai government.

And that's the good news!

(the saudis spent lots of money recruiting Jihadi Volunteers to go and fight in Afghnistan in the 80s ,they set up offices From North Africa to pakistan , and were urging youth in Friday Prayers . hundreds of thousands of Muslim youth went to fight the soviets because Saudi convinced them they were doing the right thing , fighting the Unbelievers on Afghanistan . but now that the "unbeliever" is American saudi has changed its tune .

saudis are always ready with a cheque book when America needs help. even to recruit salafists to blow up places in syria and Lebanon .

At 9:21 PM, Anonymous said...: The Soviet army was atheistic, as opposed to America, which is seen as Christian. Islam, as most believe, is much more tolerant of monotheistic religions than atheism. The difference in Saudi reaction shouldn't be that surprising, even before considering the other differences in the present situation.
