  1. The influence of the internet in the Arab Spring is not limited to twitter and e-mails. For the first time in history the masses of literate people living under repressive political regimes have ready access to every corner of the world.

    Once they learn that not everybody is forced to live the way they do they feel compelled to act. The internet is the greatest tool for democratizing the world ever invented.

    The great irony of present day history is that just as this tool come into being George Bush reached for the sword, supposedly to bring democracy to the Middle East.
