  1. This is a great thing for many parts of the world. The economy of oil-producing economies rely on selling oil to countries like the US. If Americans consumed far less oil, nations like Nigeria and Saudi Arabia will feel the pinch.

    After all, Americans have to pay for all that oil, and oil-rich nations like Venezuela rake in the big dollars.

    The last thing the world wants is for Americans consume less. Some nations want to sell us more oil, other nations want to sellus more cars, tvs, etc. They plead with us, ‘buy more and give us the dollars’.

    • Actually, the world economy runs on oil; not on dollars. Dollars are currency. They entitle you to energy like oil. Without oil, dollars are worthless, not the other way around.
