BARIQAH

Lit. “Refulgence, lighting.” A term used by the Sufis for that enlightenment of the soul, which at first comes to the true Muslim as an earnest of greater enlightenment. (‘Abdu’r-Razzaq’s Dictionary of Sufi Terms.)
