I agree. The right wing shouldn't support this because what if it is used against them? For instance, what if teachers are persecuted for speaking against global warming or gay -marriage in email?

Ok, now what? Reports indicate that the rebels are retreating in many areans and that they are outnumbered by Qaddfi's forces 10-1. The bombings worked for awhile, and they certainly did prevent a possible massacre, but the rebels are losing ground. Obviously The US cannot afford to send ground troops into Lybiya, and the other NATO countries don't want to either. So my question is should we arm the rebels and train them? Do we send CIA/special forces to work with the rebals? How long is this war going to take?

The "freedom fighting" rebels are foreign fighters from Iraq, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, etc. and indentified as the same people who fight our soldiers in Iraq, i.e. AlQaeda. hmmm why are we biw supporting AlQaeda?

Juan, check this out: Cost of Libya Intervention $600 Million for First Week, Pentagon Says link to blogs.abcnews.com

Wow. And that's only the first week. I hope you understand that American is going bankrupt. You won't have a job if the US government keeps spending all our money on war and bombing.People won't be able to attend college unless the cost is drastically reduced, which means you'll probably be paid 8 dollars an hour lol. At any rate you proably deserve it. I hope you enjoy the wars as American crumbles.

This war is all about oil. In 2009 Gaddafi wanted to nationalise oil. Look it up.

Obama preaches that we must "tighten our belts" and cut spending. i.e. austerity. Yet somehow the government always has more than enough for bombs and war.

War is commonly defined as "a state of usually open and declared armed hostile conflict between states or nations." By that definition, the United States and its allies have been at war with Libya since late last week. "At my direction," President Obama told Congress, "U.S. military forces commenced operations" in Libya.

Article I, section 8 of the United States Constitution states that "Congress shall have the power ... to declare war..." Since Congress has not declared war on Libya, is American involvement in the Libyan war unconstitutional?
