Nothing will ever change without the end of a voluntary army.
There must be a return of the draft whereby making it everybodies duty to serve. It was the citizenry that stopped the
war in Vietnam -- taking to the streets to protest going to war
as soldliers.
In our capitalist system--where there is an underclass growing larger each day, the military presents an open job option for those unable to go onto higher education ,or for those lacking an interest in doing so.
( won't get into the higher education system in which former public colleges are trying to rival private institutions). Addiltionally, I see that the 1%'s wishes for even fewer taxes, and much more access to the governors,has to be curbed. Certainly, a repeal of Citizens United would help to cause fewer dollars going to Congressman who represent the issues of the richest.
Changing those two things would be a beginning.
Lastly, the necessary education of all of us, that the US was
founded on principles of the Enlighternment -- not religious
princip[les with some help from our Indian Nations.
That John Locke not someone from Liberty University, or Fox news had the winning ideas as filered through our founding fathers.
