May I make a correction to your (otherwise excellent, as always) column?

Mr. Macron is most certainly not left wing nor is he a Socialist although he did work in Hollande's government for a while before quitting. He is an extremely wealthy former banker who wants to cut corporate tax rates in France, eliminate 120,000 government workers and deregulate the economy even more than the hated government he used to work for (i.e. Hollande's). In other words, a neoliberal.
