  • Bush's Pre-War Iraq Oil Deals Alarmed BP

Wasn't part of the original Pentagon plan just after the invasion of Iraq to secure the oil fields?
If so, Bush did have a plan, but it didn't work.
The meme that Bush had no plan after the invasion alwas seemed not true to me. It was about the oil, not democracy.
How will this play out for Blair in Britian. Will there be any legal action against him?

I want to wait and hear what Obama says about this.
Getting the troops out of Iraq is important and would be one less military expense.

I am reading reports that some Libyan rebels want the international and particularly the US forces to fight with them. They want ground forces.
I wonder what is behind this?
I am so glad the UN Resolution is in effect.

Thank you so much for this post.
About 9 a.m. EDT, Libya announced a cease fire.
I am hoping Gadaffi, I can't spell, is a coward and that this goes quickly.
I did hear France and Britain were on their way to Libya.
I may be wrong, Juan, but I think Obama did this right.

If I remember correctly, the SOFA wasn't approved until after the 2008 election.
If McCain had won, Iraq could have kicked the US in January 2009.

Is this a deflection from the fact that the Republicans have no positive agent for 2011?
Graham doesn't seem to know that the president conducts foreign policy.
I am so tired of these crazy, cowardly people. They don't go to war, they sit in safety and spout bellicose memes.
My one concern about US/Iran is at the last UN get together, Hillary Clinton made a statement about Iran which sounded like the familiar military option. Reporters asked a DOS spokesman if Clinton was talking about changing the government of Iran by force.
The spokesman said oh, no, that's not what she meant.
I see a difference form Obama's statements on Iran and Clinton's.
Who is going to bring up the domino theory?
      Thank you for your post.
