  1. Obviously the US will make an example of him with other forms of torture, as it did with Manning. There are plenty of right wing loonies to do whatever the government does not. He would be well advised to go to South America if Russia has begun to see him as a negotiating chip.

  2. The only guarantee is that he won’t be executed. The solitary confinement will make him wish for death! I can’t imagine anyone believing the U.S. anyway. Just like they told Russia they wouldn’t advance beyond West Germany in the early ’90s, so now they’re having military exercises in Estonia!

  3. Seems to me he should be pardoned. He wasn’t working for a foreign power. Much of what he exposed was clearly illegal and we are better off knowing about it, even if we can’t stop it. As far as I know, no one was harmed. Of course the national-security establishment hates him, but so what?

  4. Jeb Bush will promise to water board Snowden if he gets elected.

    “I’ll do it for George.”

    “And Dick.” :)
