You and your readers might want to take a look at John Pilger's piece in today's Guardian. It's about the medical catastrophe - the cancers - "our" depleted uranium weapons have visited upon the Iraqi people.
Society is produced by our wants, and government by our wickedness... The first encourages intercourse, the other creates distinctions. The first is a patron, the last a punisher.
"They can't handle modernity". "They" being Arabs, Muslims.
And by implication "they're" for the dustbin of history.
That charge – it's more than a charge, it's a justification – gets trotted out all the time.
Gets trotted out by people who are, apparently, in thrall to a 3,500-year-old world view. The world view of a group of Bronze Age nomads and their Realtor in the Sky (as Gore Vidal once put it).
