Is there any evidence that simply being accepted to the Ivies makes one smarter than "99.999 %" of the US population ?!
There're probably lots of factors - social class, economic circumstances, choice of major, one's constituent demographic & so on that determine admission to Harvard and the Ivies. Not just "raw smarts" - whatever one defines that as.
