Thanks to our Generous Supporters

Many, many thanks to our our generous supporters for a successful fundraising season. We got over halfway to a very ambitious goal, and certainly you made the campaign a great success by any measure.

2019 is very likely going to be an epochal year. We could well see a constitutional crisis or more than one, as Trump exhibits more and more signs of instability and as the Mueller report is delivered.

The dangerous turn of the world to the far right, with illiberal elected politicians in Russia, India, Turkey, Brazil, Hungary and even the United States, along with a recrudescence of outright dictatorship in countries like Egypt and Syria, will continue to endanger decades of progress on human, political and civil rights.

Extreme weather and the climate emergency will continue to unfold, but so too will incredible advances in wind and solar energy and in new electricity storage and transmission strategies, along with the prospect of a greatly expanded fleet of electric vehicles that are cheaper and have greater range than the previous generation.

Informed Comment will be there to cover these dramatic developments, lending insight into foreign and domestic affairs from the perspective of seasoned academics and journalists.

Again, much gratitude to our generous fans.
