( IMEMC ) – On Monday, September 22nd, the 717th day of Israel’s ongoing campaign of genocide in Gaza, the Israeli military escalated its bombardment of residential neighborhoods and displacement camps, killing at least 75 Palestinians and wounding many more in the past 24 hours, according to medical sources across the besieged enclave.

As of the time of this report, midnight on Monday September 23, a large number of civilians remain trapped inside residential towers in Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, Gaza City, amid ongoing Israeli airstrikes, shelling, and demolitions.

The Jordanian field hospital in Tal al-Hawa is being evacuated and moved to Khan Yunis for safety as Israeli military orders the move amidst shelling.

American nurse Andee Clark Vaughan, volunteering with the Palestinian-Australian-New Zealand Medical Association (PANZMA), is trapped inside Al-Quds PRCS Hospital in Tel Al-Hawa, Gaza City. The hospital has been under heavy attack for 48 hours and is now surrounded by fire and Israeli troops.

She describes:
➤ Patients remain inside, including newborns in neonatal intensive care.
➤ Windows were blown out by blasts as Apache helicopters flew overhead.
➤ Vaughan refused a chance to leave Gaza weeks ago, staying with patients who cannot be moved. She has been in Gaza for three months.
➤ ➤ Crucially, Vaughan is pleading to UN & WHO that an immediate evacuation would put lives at risk – a convoy could be targeted – and is appealing to the authorities not to move patients and staff under fire . . .

Israel ramps up Gaza offensive - as France set to recognise Palestinian state

Sameh Ahmed with PalPress reported that the Israeli occupation continues destroying buildings in the northern Gaza Strip and heavily targeting civilians. Ahmed also reported today that the Israeli occupation army continues advancing in Jabalia and along the coastal road, reaching today the outskirts of the beach. It has also pushed toward Tel al-Hawa from al-Sinaa Street and has already begun demolishing part of the buildings in that area.

Israeli forces are also advancing in East al-Nasr and in al-Daraj neighborhood.

Today, Israeli occupation tanks reached the center of Tel al-Hawa and placed explosive robots at the Prisoners and Wounded Institution before pulling back — meaning this area will witness massive explosions tonight.

Israeli Hits Several Areas in Gaza

The Israeli occupation has been advancing at a faster pace in recent days, and it seems intent on trying to decide matters within two weeks. It aims to close al-Jalaa Street and al-Thalathini Street before the end of this week, to confine people into the southwestern part of Gaza City (al-Rimal and al-Shati).

Nine people, including four children and three women, were recovered after Israeli warplanes bombed a residential building near the Samer Junction in central Gaza City. They are:

1. Nour Daloul (8 years old)
2. Nadine Hassanein (6 years old)
3. Mohammed Hassanein (6 years old)
4. Naji Hassanein (6 years old)
5. Khitam Hassanein (32 years old)
6. Sabreen Hassanein (24 years old)
7. Taghreed Hassanein (39 years old)
8. Naji Hassanein (66 years old)
9. Salah Hassanein (40 years old)

People in the Al-Samer area of Al-Daraj neighborhood in Gaza City were trapped inside neighboring buildings that caught fire after Israeli occupation warplanes struck the block without warning. The bombing decimated multiple residential towers, leaving more than 60 martyrs and dozens still missing under the rubble as survivors struggled with bare hands and simple tools to rescue those buried alive.

A number of citizens were killed and others were injured Monday, as a result of a series of air strikes and artillery shelling launched by the Israeli occupation forces on various areas of the Gaza Strip.

Wafa news correspondents reported the martyrdom of 4 citizens and the injury of others, after occupation aircraft targeted a truck transporting furniture that was parked in front of a house belonging to the Al-Habil family in the Al-Balakhiya area. A number of citizens were also killed and injured as a result of a drone strike that targeted a group in front of Abu Assi School in the North Beach Camp, while another citizen was killed by drone bullets in the Al-Sahaba area in the Al-Daraj neighborhood in central Gaza City.

The Israeli occupation aircraft launched successive “fire belts” around the Al-Muznar Junction, which led to widespread destruction of towers and residential buildings. They also bombed a house belonging to the Hijazi family north of the Abu Youssef Al-Qawqa roundabout, which led to its complete destruction without causing any casualties.

In the vicinity of Al-Shamali Park, air strikes targeted several residential buildings, destroying their upper floors, while other raids targeted citizens’ homes near the Ashkelon prayer hall.

The Israeli occupation artillery also continued its intensive bombardment of the areas of the northern beach, the nursery, Al-Nasr neighborhood, and Intelligence Street, while Quadcopter aircraft fired machine guns in the same neighborhoods.

Earlier, 9 citizens were killed, including 4 children, 3 women and an elderly man, and others were injured, as a result of a bombing that targeted a residential building in the Samer area in the center of Gaza City.

A child identified as Malek Abdullah Al-Zaqzouq was killed in an Israeli drone strike on a vehicle in the town of Zawaida in central Gaza Strip.

Dozens of innocent civilians were brutally slaughtered and injured this morning in a horrific strike carried out by Israeli forces, who bombed a residential block in Gaza City’s Al-Sabra neighborhood.

With today’s attacks, the toll of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023 has risen to 65,344, and 166,795 injured, in an incomplete toll, as a number of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, amid the inability of ambulance and rescue crews to reach them.

12:21 PM REPORT

Hospitals in Gaza reported at least 20 fatalities, and dozens of injures, since dawn. Medical teams confirmed that more than 68 people were killed on Sunday alone, with 55 of those deaths occurring in a series of targeted massacres across multiple districts of Gaza City.

Israeli forces deployed fire belts in Tel al-Hawa, south of Gaza City, and used explosive-laden vehicles in the Nafaq area and Sheikh Radwan, north of the city.

Early Monday, airstrikes targeted the ad-Deeri family home on al-Moghrabi Street in the Sabra neighborhood, killing several civilians.

Eight more Palestinians were killed and around twenty injured when Israeli aircraft bombed a group of civilians in the as-Sidra area of ad-Daraj neighborhood, central Gaza City. Additional strikes hit homes in Shuja’iyya and al-Tuffah in the east.

Emergency responders also confirmed the killing of two young men by Israeli drone fire in Tel al-Hawa neighborhood.

Another Palestinian was killed while collecting firewood in al-Mughraqa, south of Gaza City. Separate airstrikes on Sabra led to further casualties, while artillery shelling damaged residential buildings and severely impacted Al-Quds Hospital in the same area.

In the southwest, two Palestinians were killed and others wounded when Israeli warplanes struck a tent sheltering displaced families in al-Sawarha, near al-Nuseirat.

On Sunday evening, eight civilians, including four children, were killed near an UNRWA clinic in al-Bureij refugee camp, in central Gaza. Over the past 24 hours, ten people were killed in central Gaza.

Thirteen children have died today in Gaza:

10 fetuses whose mothers were forced to miscarry due to severe malnutrition, lack of medical supplements, fear from ongoing airstrikes, and the grueling displacement from Gaza City to the south.

Israeli airstrikes also targeted a vehicle in Zawaida area, killing one and injuring others, according to al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.
