So, I guess you think it would be OK for Russia or China to "contain" America with bases and missiles because the US took TX, ARIZ, etc. from Mexico, and the French used the Canadian border to launch beaver-hunting expeditions on US soil?
Our US is the world's aggressor, all the world knows it but Americans, us Exceptional Ones! Most of the world is simply not our exclusive business.
I'm not clear on who exactly are the unitarians (monotheists).
Paragraph 3 says the Saudi Wahhabis call themselves unitarian. The next-to-last paragraph says Saudi officials are warring with unitarians inside and outside the Kingdom.
This is a perfect time for neocons and fellow-travelling warmongers to step up and take "personal responsibility" for their actions by taking refugees into their homes. Hillary, too, as she was simply gleeful over the destruction of Libya. Or is right-wing "personal responsibility" only for the poor?
We seem to be in a time where incrementalism is hopelessly inadequate. And Obama's incrementalist change is glacial, if positive at all. Arctic drilling, and record domestic drilling more than cancel out new power plant standards that will take 7 years to implement. By then, as many as two presidents could reverse these standards. But Obama will be spinning tales about his legacy, at 325k/ hr.
Obama was apparently indoctrinated into service of oligarchy at Ivy League, if not before. He gave it all away with the selection of Rahm Emanuel as his Chief of Staff (the real VP). Rahm went on to become known as Mayor 1% in Chicago. Also, AG Holder , the first black AG, was working for Wall St banks before entering government, and he's working on Wall St right now! So don't buy the idea that Obama entered the WH with any intention of progressive, even 'liberal" action.
I've seen long lists of Obama's accomplishments, which include some nice things. But they are very small in context. Obama has maintained the status quo, has even presided over increased income and wealth extremism. He happened to be around for gay marriage and other social change, he didn't really back an issue until it was winning!
This is just another "tax and spend" whine that has been lame and tired for many years. Greece suffers for other reasons-taxes were not paid and collected consistently ( a right-wing dream, see how Repubs are now cutting funding to IRS, the only branch of government that turns a profit), and Goldman Sachs taught them how to conceal deficits rather than deal with them. Germany runs a large trade surplus , so you can hardly say "German taxpayers" are being fleeced. Also, remember these virtuous German banks were bailed out in 2008-9 by American taxpayers. Secretly, of course.
Good grief, certainly secular science has been "proved" more than any religious concepts, most of which are mutually exclusive. If you're going to go the religion over secular route, explain who gets to decide which religion is the "right" one?
Someone well-versed in the oppression, sexism, and beheadings of Saudi Arabia is defending Islam? Odd.
