Quran Quote of the Day on Peace

Speaking of the revealed scripture, the Quran, that book says:

[5:16] With it, God guides those who follow his good-pleasure to the paths of peace, and he delivers them out of darkness into the light, with his permission. He guides them unto the straight path.

Juan,
I read the Quran many years ago.
I am a Christian, but were it not for my belief in the deity of Christ I would certainly be a Muslim.
Please continue to share with us the teachings of the Prophet.
I fully believe that He was the fullfilment of the teachings of God. And as such ALL people of the Book should be made aware of His words.

sincerely,

jeff

What does 'with his permission' mean in this context?

Ah, you should capitalize the H in the "His" when referring to God. ie. "with His permission."

I'll capitalize the H when god explains that thing in the Bible about putting Moses in a crack to admire the backside of his glory.

But I am curious,

"[5:16] With it, God guides those who follow his good-pleasure to the paths of peace, and he delivers them out of darkness into the light, with his permission. He guides them unto the straight path."

Does this mean that god delivers from darkness by giving 'permission' of something?
