Whether we would like to admit it or not, there is a racial time bomb waiting to explode in the United States. No matter what the race of a person is, if we can't treat others fairly today, the nation is doomed to collapse when times get really tough.
So much is at stake in Egypt. The stability of the whole region in teetering in the balance. There are several reasons a Middle East nation would want to stabilize Egypt and ally themselves with the new government. Egypt is the key to the Mediterranean Sea and shares a border with Israel. These are strategically important areas for trade and peace keeping. I'm actually surprised that Iran did not openly support Dr. Morsi. They have always wanted Islamist rule in Egypt.
Once again, the love of self is magnified in the countries expression of support. Nations are like people, only with greater influence than the individuals that they compose of. The core of the matter is any nations foreign policy will always benefit the self. It will always purport to better others but in reality, it is there to improve their own constituent's welfare.
I believe that the support of the hard line fundamentalist Salafi movement is key to Mr. Mansour gaining massive public acceptance while in this transitory period.
This issue is simply so embarrassing for the United States. To violate the privacy rights of the men and women in your own country is one thing, but to extend it over other countries is another. Instead of creating global unity, the acts of this current administration has been consistently fracturing the already unstable international relations.
Man! That looked horribly painful! No one should be forced-fed like that. It's awful! However, how do you know that it is actually done twice in that facility? Why do they even bother to do it? Just for the fun of it? Isn't the US financially broke? Wouldn't this be another expense for that facility?
The US shot itself in the foot again with these programs. It's not as if their reputation worldwide is already marred with mud. The entire program itself and the leaders aware of it should be charged with treason. This is betrayal of public trust to the utmost level. Someone should be held accountable. What happened to due process?
This is a well-written depiction of the true state of the nation. It is somewhat unbelievable and hard to accept but true. The United States has failed to be the strong nation that treasured morals and values it once was.

"You don't understand the Egyptian culture and what would happen if I step down now."
- Former Egyptian President Mubarak to President Obama in 2011
Islamists are taking over the war. Yet another terrible decision by the West to arm the rebels.
Interesting point of view. I think Al Jazeera has always been biased since its inception.

What is happening to this "democratic" country? It seems like President Obama should not have chosen sides. He only caused instability to the region.

I agree. For now, we can't rule out that possibility.
