The President and Secretary have delivered big-time. It is a comfort to these old eyes to see unfolded before us a blueprint for hope and a prudent alternative to war. An awesome beginning if our people will embrace it. Avatar of ruin if we yield to fear.
Interesting times.
Thank you, Dr. Cole for a front row seat.
Ya know the old man's story? Nice guy republican - this was years ago - the guy was head of a car company and governor of Michigan. He went to Vietnam to see the war, said the generals brainwashed him, meant he'd been lied to but "brainwashed" killed his shot at the White House. Old George Romney had a conscience of sorts. Mitt? not so much.
Our media's inattention to central Africa where in the past six months civil unrest in CAR, South Sudan and Katanga province in the DRC has displaced upwards of two and one half million people demonstrates yet again the lethal invisibility of black Africans and the invincible ignorance of the so-called first world.
I depend on you so I am very grateful for your daily contributions to my understanding of the world around me. I give and will continue to give what little I can to your great efforts.
