  • Is Lt.-Gen. Flynn Right that Islam is not a Religion?

Your last paragraph seems inordinately optimistic Professor Cole.

"The EU strongly condemned Israel about settlements", what were the concrete steps taken by the EU to dissuade Israel in continuing their illegal settlements? did they implement Economic sanctions, trade sanctions or did they do nothing at all?

Maybe this journal will go down in history, like the journal of Ann Frank and bear witness to the wickedness of some.

  • Algeria's Botched Rescue Leaves Dozens of Hostages Dead, Angers West
    • fabienne mazoyer 01/18/2013 at 12:22 pm

I agree with you, Dr. Cole, 90% of the time. But in this instance there were some 650 people at the plant and frankly the casualties are rather low. If the hostages had not included westerner, I don't think there would be talk of botched mission by the Algerian government. Also, the approach of Algeria to the crisis, might deter "Terrorist" from replicating the situation, as hostage taking did not protect from attack by the government. Lastly Western workers in those plant are extremely well compensated, because of the risk factor involved. So I think that overall and considering the circumstances we should not criticize Algeria for it's quick response.

So if Sacha Baron Cohen does it over and over, it seems that his only gag is to make fun of other ethnicity and nationality, nobody has an issue with that.

  • GOP Candidates Harm Israeli Security by Pushing for Impractical "Greater Israel"
    • fabienne dupont 01/27/2012 at 11:37 am

They are campaigning in Florida. South Florida has a huge Jewish population, on the conservative side. There is no way those two candidates would say a peep about Israel in Florida. It would be political suicide. The US has a long way to go before it changes it's ideology about Israel and the Palestinian. Oh and by the way most of the Democrat are as ignorant and uninformed on the subject as the Republicans are!
